
Job Description
The ITO Networks role involves maintaining the networks and systems within One Acre Fund, ensuring network security, supervising updates, and supporting both Country ITO and overall operations. This role requires deep technological expertise with computer systems, hardware, and software to improve the organization’s network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Implement and administer IT Networks: LAN, WAN, network segments, and the Internet.
- Ensure network connections are stable and comply with InfoSec policies.
- Install and maintain both hardware and software.
- Manage upgrades and repairs through Country ITO and ensure CITO training.
- Update documentation.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement through automation and cost reduction.
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and thresholds to detect potential service disruptions.
- Manage network events and incidents, determining their significance and implementing control actions.
- Mitigate network events and incidents and implement networking redundancies and backup.
- Resolve Tier 2 or 3 incidents within Service level agreements.
- Analyze and implement networking requests to expected standards within agreed timelines.
Requirements
- Cisco certified network associate.
- Network security implementation.
- ITIL
- SDLC
- InfoSec practices.
- This role is only open to citizens or permanent residents of Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Nigeria, Malawi, and Zambia.
