This is a front-line cybersecurity defense position, focusing on real-time monitoring, detection, and response to cyber security incidents. The CISOC Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the security of systems and networks, investigating suspicious activities, and staying ahead of cybersecurity threats through proactive measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Monitoring:
- Monitor user and system activity to identify suspicious behavior using security systems.
- Track network activity to detect anomalous events and unusual traffic trends.
- Assess security monitoring tools for system gaps and initiate remediation.
- Incident Response and Investigation:
- Investigate suspicious events to identify breaches and determine root causes.
- Respond proactively to intrusion attempts and mitigate potential threats.
- System Configuration and Optimization:
- Configure and fine-tune security monitoring tools to ensure robust protection.
- Administer security tools to maintain optimal uptime and resource utilization.
- Reporting and Research:
- Prepare manual and scheduled reports for stakeholders.
- Stay updated on emerging technology and cybersecurity trends to enhance defense strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), or a related field.
Professional Certifications:
- At least one of the following certifications:
- Certified SOC Analyst (CSA)
- Certified Incident Handler (E|CIH)
- Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- PENTEST+
- Security+
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT, including:
- At least 1 year in Cybersecurity.
- At least 1 year in System/Network/Database/Cloud Platform Administration or Application Development.
