Pastor Elizabeth Mokoro has dismissed the notion that polygamy should be an accepted practice.
In an interview with Lynn Ngugi, the vocal pastor discussed the problem of other married women.
“Mistress, mpango wa kando, baby mama is a language for. They are acceptable on the other side. They say those are families, and we must be recognized. And people are easy being baby mamas, it’s acceptable in the world of Shechem. In Israel, that is called adultery, which bars you from eternity. If you take it a notch higher, they call it polygamy. Polygamy belongs to the world of Shechem, sanitized adultery. It is adultery, now we sanitize it. Just accept there’s another wife in the home!”
She called it a spiritual war and counseled wives not to engage in combat with other women.
“As long as you bother the girl, they know you will not win this battle. Why? Because they don’t just come, they come with supernatural powers. And they know they are entering a territory that is not theirs. And they are ready for war”
She called physical confrontations a waste of time
“tukitoana wigs? Aje sasa? Hata wacha weaves, kushika simu kupiga ati we ni nani? Don’t bother this girl, and do you know they love it when you bother them?”
The Pastor said there is a need for robust training of couples on matters marriage.
